Our name is pronounced "Eighty Twenty Web Design" and we concentrate on delivering a complete solution.

A website is like an iceberg - 20% of the "mass" of the website is seen by the public. This "public face" consists of the graphic, fonts, layout and content - it is, of course, important to get this right! However, lurking below the surface is another 80% which is made up of the code that supports the site, the security of the site, the maintainability of the site, how well the site is marketed, how standards compliant the site is, how well it displays on different browsers and more. If you ignore the importance of the 80% below the surface you can run into a lot of trouble - just ask the captain of the Titanic...

Our tag line, "Because a good website is more than just a pretty face," speaks to the fact that we see many well intentioned websites out there which, on closer inspection, appear to be based on shaky foundations. Don't let this happen to you - work with us instead.

• Developing the content (Including graphic design, copywriting, information architecture and work or process flow)
• Marketing your site (Including search engine optimization, search engine submissions, free placement and paid for placement strategies)
• Implementing the code (We are skilled in a variety of implementation technologies - we favor Open Source solutions to keep costs down but we can work with technologies that you specify)
• We can host and maintain your site (although we're a strong believer in providing you with simple to use tools such that you can maintain your own content because it's more cost effective and more efficient that way).

We also provide a website review service to provide you with information about your existing site.

We are also available for general Information Technology consulting questions. With this service we aim to help the small business owner have access to unbiased, in-depth knowledge about a variety of questions. While we can't claim to be an expert on every technology out there we have been involved in the industry for 15+ years including time working on complex engineering applications, shrink wrapped accounting software and enterprise information technology solutions - and websites too of course! If we don't know the answer directly we know who and what to ask to get you the answers you might be looking for.
